Internship Overview:

This is a unique opportunity for aspiring legal professionals in Jeddah to gain invaluable, practical experience in a fast-paced legal setting. Our internship program is designed to provide direct exposure to client interaction and a bespoke training model tailored to each intern's individual learning goals and development needs. As a full-time intern, you will work closely with experienced attorneys on a variety of tasks, contributing meaningfully to our firm's work while developing essential legal skills. This is an unpaid internship position with a typical duration of 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Direct Client Interaction:

    • Participate in client meetings and interviews under the supervision of an attorney.

    • Assist with client communication, including drafting correspondence and responding to inquiries in both English and Arabic.

    • Observe and support attorneys during client consultations and case strategy discussions.

  2. Legal Research and Writing:

    • Conduct thorough legal research on Saudi Arabian laws, regulations, case law, and Sharia principles (as applicable) relevant to ongoing cases.

    • Draft legal memoranda, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents in both English and Arabic as required.

    • Assist in the preparation of case files and hearing/trial notebooks.

  3. Case Management Support:

    • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurately filed.

    • Assist with discovery, including document review and organization.

    • Support attorneys in preparing for expert consultations, court appearances, and arbitrations.

  4. Tailored Training and Development:

    • Participate in a personalized training program designed to align with your specific interests and career aspirations within the Saudi legal field.

    • Receive regular mentorship and feedback from supervising attorneys.

    • Attend internal training sessions and workshops on various aspects of legal practice relevant to the Saudi jurisdiction.

  5. Administrative Support:

    • Provide general administrative assistance to the legal team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited law school (or a Sharia and Law program) in Saudi Arabia or internationally.

  • Strong academic record and a genuine interest in a variety of legal practice areas, including those listed above.

  • Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is required.

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a comfort level in interacting with diverse individuals.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with legal research platforms relevant to Saudi law is a plus.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding high ethical standards as per Saudi law and professional conduct.
